Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, has presented himself for screening for a Senatorial contest on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is in compliance with PDP National secretariat’s timeline for activities leading to the conduct of its primary election for fielding candidates for the 2023 general election.
Accordingly, the Benue State chapter commenced the screening exercise for national and State assembly aspirants.
Ortom, who is the leade of the party in the North central region participated in the exercise as an aspirant for the Benue north west senatorial district.
He urged other aspirants to do the needful to avoid being disqualified.
According to the screening timetable made public by the party’s publicity secretary names of successful candidates will be published on the 1st of May while appeals from the screening exercise will commence on Monday the 2nd of May.
