Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has left Enugu state where he held a meeting with the state governor. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The meeting, which held behind closed doors is believed to be in continuation of Obasanajo’s search for new leadership for the country.
Obasanjo, who was instrumental in Mohammadu Buhari becoming Nigeria’s leader, is believed to have fallen out of favour with the incumbent government.
No details of the discussion have been made public but sources say it may not be unconnected with ongoing political permutations ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Obasanjo, who is a regular visitor to the region is believed to have moved on to other strategic meetings with political heavyweights in the region.
