Gunmen on rampage allegedly killed two police officers and two others at Ohii junction along Orlu Owerri road on Monday.
A source from the area who hinted on the incident said the gunmen in a Corolla SUV car opened fire at the junction and killed the victims while dispossessing some POS operators around the scene of some cash.
According to the source, the police men killed were said to be on duty in the area before their untimely death.
Meanwhile, gunmen were also said to have robbed another POS operator at Amawire – Orji on the Owerri – Okigwe Road.
Others were also said to have stormed Christiana junction at Egbu Road and robbed POS operators.
The spokesperson for the Police in the state, Henry Okoye, could not respond to the call and text made to his phone line when contacted.
