…Fixes Thursday as completion date
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rose from several hours meeting, reversing itself on the earlier announcement over the winner of the party primary, declaring the exercise inconclusive.
No fewer than three aspirants on the platform of the party have been laying claims to emerging winners of the primary conducted last weekend that has sharply divided the party’s leadership.
However, briefing newsmen after the meeting, National Publicity Secretary of APC, Felix Morka, who made the disclosure, said that the national leadership of the party has fixed Thursday for the conclusion of the exercise.
According to him; “At its emergency meeting held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to consider the report on the Edo State Governorship Primary Election, the NWC deliberated on the report and resolved that the Edo State Governorship Primary Election has not been completed, and has now fixed Thursday February 22, 2024 for the completion of the Primary Election Process,”
