Hundreds of protesters have set ablaze a portion of the office of the Nigeria Communication Commission office situated along State Road in the metropolis of Kano State
The NCC office, newly built, and ready for commissioning soon, was looted and set on fire by protesters.
Also vandalised at another end of the protest is the official vehicle of Arewa Radio in the state.
The rear glass of the branded car was destroyed earlier in the day by angry protesters at the front of the Government House in the state .
Trouble started when some of the protesters were vandalizing some government properties outside the Government House, an action that met police resistance.
The policemen fired tear gas to disperse the protesters, who, in return, started throwing stones at any vehicle in sight.
The radio news team, comprising two reporters and a driver of the damaged vehicle, narrowly escaped attack.
Meanwhile, business activities activities have been largely closed in many parts of the state many residents have remained indoors and businesses which initially opened had retreated in the face of the protests.
