INEC staff mobilise to polling units
Ad-hoc and core staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), are currently collecting election materials and are being transported to the various polling unit in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area. Esan West is the local government with the highest number or registered voters in Edo Central.
Similarly, security agents have taken over taken positions in strategic parts of the local government. The federal highway has also been barricaded by a team of security agents who are turning back vehicles.

Labour Party candidate in the Edo state governorship election Olumide Akpata has lost his polling unit.
Akpata lost his PU11, Ward 06, Oredo to PDP’s Asue Ighodalo.
