The Action People’s Party (APP) in Rivers state has secured a landslide victory in today’s Local Government elections held in the state, winning 22 out of 23 LGAs.
Declaring the results of the election, chairman of the state Independent Electoral Commission, Retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli announced that the results of Etche Local Government Area were still being collated.
Justice Enebeli also declared the election as the most transparent and peaceful election in the history of the rivers state.
