The Global Satellite Operators Association (GSOA) has announced a major leadership transition, appointing Ali Al Hashemi, CEO of Space Services at Space42, as its new Chair of the Board. He will be joined by two new Vice Chairs — Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of SES, and Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, CEO of NIGCOMSAT.
Representing the full satellite ecosystem — from established operators to emerging innovators — GSOA plays a pivotal role in advancing global connectivity. In an era of accelerating digital transformation, satellites are central to driving innovation, sustainability, and social inclusion, connecting underserved regions, powering digital economies, and ensuring resilient communications worldwide.
Ali Al Hashemi, who previously served as GSOA Vice Chair, described his appointment as both an honor and a responsibility.
