Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says he remains in the African Democratic Congress and accuses the APC of using Nafiu Bala to create distractions within the party.
A former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid the ongoing leadership dispute within the party.
Kwankwaso made the declaration in a post on X, insisting that he and his supporters have no intention of leaving the party to join any other political platform.
“We are still in ADC, and we will not leave to join any other party. Nafiu Bala’s attempts to cause turmoil within ADC are futile and will not succeed,” he wrote.
The former presidential candidate also accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of allegedly trying to destabilize the ADC by backing actions that could distract members of the opposition party.
According to him, the APC is using Nafiu Bala as part of a strategy to slow down the growing momentum of the ADC.
“We’re aware that Tinubu’s APC is using Nafiu to distract us and slow our momentum. What they don’t know is that the more they try to slow us the more they embolden us,” Kwankwaso stated.
Kwankwaso further criticized the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing its performance as poor and suggesting that the ruling party fears losing political ground.
“Tinubu’s performance is miserable. He knows he cannot win the election against ADC. He’s just trying his last fight,” he added.

The former Kano governor also claimed that Nigerians have rejected the ruling party and are looking toward alternatives ahead of future elections.
His comments come as tensions continue to grow within the ADC over leadership issues involving Nafiu Bala, a development that has triggered political debates and speculations about the party’s direction ahead of the 2027 general election.
