The Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected the request by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to be transferred to the National Hospital in Abuja.
Justice James Omotosho, in his ruling, directed the President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) to constitute a committee to investigate and evaluate Kanu’s health condition.
The judge also dismissed Kanu’s no-case submission, holding that the prosecution had established a ‘prima facie’ case against him. Consequently, Kanu has been ordered to enter his defence.
