Justice Adolphus Enebeli, RSIEC Chairman
The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a warrant of arrest for the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd). The decision came after the RSIEC chairman failed to appear before the lawmakers as previously invited.
The development follows a week of turmoil within the state’s electoral commission, marked by the resignation of three RSIEC commissioners. These former officials had honored the Assembly’s invitation, providing insights into the situation within the commission. However, the RSIEC chairman and other remaining commissioners refused to comply, prompting the lawmakers to take decisive action.
