After months of tension, political drama, and fears of total breakdown in governance, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally pulled off a peace talk, reconciling Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule.
Photos following the closed door peace talk showing the three key players smiling and shaking hands, indicates that “an end to the state of emergency in Rivers may be close.”

The once bitterly divided trio has now reached a truce, following closed-door talks with the President aimed at restoring political stability in the oil-rich state. Photos from the high-profile meeting show a rare and symbolic moment of a handshake between Governor Fubara and Speaker Amaewhule , which is a clear signal that the crisis may finally be over.

Also in the photo, President Tinubu is seen smiling while standing between the three leaders, reaffirming his role as the chief peacemaker in the ongoing drama.

The Photos emerging from the meeting have further strengthened their reconciliation. One outstanding photo shows Governor Fubara and Speaker Amaewhule walking side by side, with Wike and other political stakeholders in the background
