An aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Lere Olayinka, has accused media personality Dele Momodu of supporting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for selfish reasons.
According to Olayinka, Momodu’s support for Atiku is not based on genuine political loyalty or ideology but is rather driven by personal gain – which he described as “stomach infrastructure,” a slang commonly used in Nigeria to describe politicians who back candidates for food, money, or contracts.
Speaking on Arise News this morning, Olayinka, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Public Relations and New Media to the FCT Minister, made the remarked that Momodu is not a true leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying, “He only joined the party in 2022 and cannot be called a chieftain.”

He further took a swipe at Momodu’s career, saying he is more of a photo album publisher than a journalist. “Dele Momodu has been involved in publishing photo albums, which is distinct from journalism,” Olayinka said.
