The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), alongside his son, Abdulazeez Malami, on a five-count charge bordering on terrorism financing and illegal possession of firearms.
The defendants were arraigned on Tuesday before Justice Joyce Abdumalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja, according to a report by Channels Television.
Details of the charges were not immediately made public at the time of filing this report, but sources familiar with the proceedings confirmed that the allegations relate to financial transactions allegedly linked to terrorism activities, as well as unlawful handling of firearms.

The court is expected to fix dates for the defendants’ plea and possible bail applications after the charges are formally read.
Malami served as Attorney-General of the Federation under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2023.
