Renowned Nigerian activist and leader of OBIdient Movement, Aisha Yesufu has issued a strong warning to political institutions and power players ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that the era of stolen mandates is over — and anyone who dares to rig the election again will face severe consequences.

Speaking at a book launch about Peter Obi on Symfoni TV, Aisha Yesufu, who is a die-hard fan of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi declared in a strong emotional statement, saying; “It’s not about Mr. Peter Obi. It’s about me, it’s about you. It’s about saying that when we vote, our votes must be counted and must be entered. Nobody born of a woman — whether it is INEC or any other institution — has the right to thwart that vote.”

“People are dying because elections are stolen. I’m not here to play games. Anybody wey say he wan rig our election — we die there!”

Following the 2023 general elections which was mired in controversy, with many Nigerians, particularly the supporters of OBIdient movement alleged a widespread of irregularities and a lack of transparency. Thus the activist has declared that “citizens must rise to defend their democratic rights and ensure that every single vote counts.“
