The Acting Italian Ambassador to Nigeria, Tarek Chazli, says they plan to partner with Benue State in the area of agriculture.
Chazil said the partnership would focus mainly on agro-business.
He disclosed this at Government House Makurdi during a meeting with the State Governor.
The Acting ambassador embassy of Italy said part of his mission is to deepen diplomatic ties with the agrarian state in the area of agro-business.

Governor Samuel Ortom and the Italian envoy also spoke on the state of security in Benue, which they both agreed poses a major threat to investment.
According to the Governor, “Benue state has been overburdened by the prolonged degenerating security issues leading to increase of internally displaced persons coupled with refugees from Cameroon.
