The Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouk has arrived the EFCC’S Headquarters for questioning over financial misappropriation during her tenure as Minister.
The former Minister was expected to appear before the Anti-graft Agency’s Interrogators last Wednesday but shunned the invite by the EFCC and sent a response later citing health challenges as failure for appearance.
The EFCC had invited Sadiya Umar-Farouk over an ongoing probe into an alleged laundering of over thirty- seven billion naira through a contractor, James okwete who has long been arrested by Operatives of the Anti-graft Agency and revelations made by him so far indicted the former Minister and Directors-generals who served under her.
Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency who served under Umar-Farouk was suspended by President Tinubu to allow investigations into financial fraud levelled against her and had been a guest to the EFCC headquarters for ongoing interrogations.
Details later.
