The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their planned protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The unions directed workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to return to work with immediate effect.
The decision followed an overnight meeting involving labour leaders, the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, and members of the Senate Committee on the FCT.
The meeting began late on Monday and continued into the early hours of Tuesday.

At the end of the discussions, both sides reached an agreement that led to the suspension of the protest.
Normal activities have now resumed across FCTA offices in Abuja.
