There was drama this morning at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja as staff members staged a protest against Senator Samuel Anyanwu.
The protest took place at the Wadata Plaza headquarters and led to a complete walkout by the staff members, leaving the building virtually empty. This happened just as Senator Anyanwu arrived at the premises.
The workers are angry over Anyanwu’s refusal to step aside as National Secretary, despite a Supreme Court ruling in March 2025 that allowed internal party decisions to stand. The PDP’s National Working Committee had already directed Deputy National Secretary, Arch Hon Koshoedo Setonji, to take over the role.
According to eyewitnesses, the protest was peaceful but firm. The Party Staff stood their ground, insisting that Anyanwu’s presence was against the party’s decision and order.
