Four security aides of Sen Ifeanyi Uba representing Anambra South have been killed in an attack by gunmen on his convoy.
The victims include two policemen and two civilian aides.
The two civilian aides are said to hail from Anambra and Akwa Ibom states respectively and have worked with Ubah for long.
The attack which took place at Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State also left some other persons in the convoy with bullet wounds.
Sen. Uba was however lucky to escape the attack though his bullet-proof car was riddled with bullets.
An eyewitness disclosed that the gunmen lay in wait and ambushed Sen. Uba’s convoy as it approached the ever-busy market square.
As of press time, Sen. Uba is said to be in a medical facility where he is being attended to alongside the injured.
