Former Rivers State Health Commissioner, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, has firmly denied any role in the recent walk-out staged by women during a public event in Port Harcourt.
The incident, which took place last Friday, saw a group of women leave an event abruptly after expecting to receive Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. Instead, they were greeted by the wife of the Sole Administrator currently overseeing the state, leading to disappointment and protest.
Following the drama, a youth group alleged that Dr. Oreh, who is part of the suspended state executive under Governor Siminalayi Fubara, masterminded the walk-out to embarrass the current administration.
But in a strong reaction, Dr. Oreh dismissed the claims as “lies from the pit of hell,” insisting she had no hand in the incident.
“These allegations are completely false and cooked up by people looking to stir trouble,” she said. “I’ve been focused on my studies and personal pursuits since my suspension. I have no interest in sponsoring any kind of protest.”
Dr. Oreh challenged those pointing fingers to show proof and warned against spreading baseless rumors in a time when the state needs unity, not more tension.
“This is a sensitive period for Rivers State.
