The People’s Democratic Party will on Wednesday, June 22 screen its deputy governorship nominees under the party.
The exercise will involve the 28 states where an election is slated to hold next year.
This was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman of the party, Debo Ologunagba.
According to Ologunagba, the screening exercise will hold at the NWC Hall in Abuja, on Wednesday at 10 am.
The statement also disclosed that the party has set up a Screening Committee to conduct the exercise.
Ologunagba added that the move was pursuant to the provision of Part 5, Paragraph 11 of the Electoral Guidelines of the PDP.
“The committee is headed by former National Chairman of the PDP, Okwesilieze Nwodo, while Akilu Indabawa is the Secretary to the committee and Sunday Omobo, the Administrative Secretary.”
Other members include; Mr Fidelis Tapgun, Rt. Hon. Binta Bello, Suleiman Usman (SAN), Dr. Istifanus Zabadi, Hajia Kulu Haruna, Mrs. Ayotunde George-Ologun, and Mrs. Debby Nicol.
