In a move to rejuvenate the renewed hope administration, President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of four senior federal officials known as Permanent Secretaries (Perm Secs).
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, announced the new postings in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday by her spokesperson, Mrs. Eno Olotu.
Dr Mary Ogbe has been moved from the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development to the newly created Ministry of Regional Development. Faruk Yabo, who was previously at the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, is now taking over at the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
Dr Emeka Obi has been redeployed from the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development to the Ministry of Petroleum Resources. Meanwhile, Mr Ogbodo Nnam has moved from the Special Duties Office in the Office of the Head of Service to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
Walson-Jack described the shake-up as a normal government process aimed at sending experienced hands to areas where they are most needed. She urged the Permanent Secretaries to bring fresh ideas, ensure smooth handovers, and make sure their ministries deliver real results for Nigerians.
“All handover processes must be completed by May 2,” Walson-Jack emphasized.
