The 2023 Presidential Candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, hosted a Ramadan iftar (breaking of fast) with former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow, and prominent businessman Musa Halilu. The gathering, which took place after nightfall, provided an opportunity for deep discussions on pressing national issues.
Atiku Abubakar shared details of the meeting on his social media X, describing their discussions as “the dessert of the meal.” Although, he did not disclose the specific topics discussed, Atiku Abubakar remains an influential political figure in Nigeria, and his iftar meeting with El-Rufai, Bindow, and Halilu indicates that politics and religion but have been in the “dessert”.
