Nigeria’s first lady and the wife of the President of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, visited Ondo State today with a powerful message of hope and support, especially for women and healthcare workers.
Her visit was part of the Southwest launch of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI)—a program she leads to improve lives across Nigeria.
But what made her visit special wasn’t just the speeches. It was the action, Mrs. Tinubu donated 10,000 medical kits—including scrubs and Crocs—to healthcare workers across the South-West. According to her, this is to help improve the comfort and confidence of medical professionals who work day and night to keep people healthy.
She also gave a N50 million grant to support rural women in Ondo State. The money will be managed by the wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, to help women start small businesses and support their families.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who warmly welcomed the First Lady, thanked her for choosing Ondo State to launch the program. He called her visit a sign of love and recognition for the state.
“We are grateful for this support and the renewed hope you’ve brought to our people,” he said.

The event was filled with excitement as beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the First Lady’s kind gesture would make a real difference in their lives.
Senator Tinubu, in her speech, promised to continue visiting states across Nigeria to support women, youths, and workers as part of her national mission to bring hope to the people.
