SOLUDO and SEDC
One of the major points of discussion was the SEDC’s ambitious plan to collaborate with state governors to expand the regional economy from its current ₦40 billion to a robust ₦200 billion. Okoye also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s role in creating the SEDC as part of his Renewed Hope Initiative, emphasizing that regional collaboration is essential for long-term development in the South-East.

In response, Governor Soludo underscored the importance of intentional development, urging South-East leaders to adopt a clear, results-driven approach to regional progress. He reiterated his commitment to transforming Anambra from a “departure land” to an “arrival destination,” making the state globally competitive.
Soludo called for stronger partnerships between SEDC, the South-East Governors’ Forum, and individual state governments to ensure a unified development agenda. He also invited the SEDC delegation to visit his signature “Solution Fun City” project, which aims to put Anambra on the global map. Additionally, he highlighted the nearing completion of the state’s first official governor’s residence in 35 years, symbolizing progress and administrative stability.
