Governor Samuel Ortom has revealed that armed herdsmen are collaborating with some indigenes of Benue state to carry out attacks in the State.
The Benue State Governor made the revelation while swearing in the new chief of staff at the Government House Makurdi on Tuesday.
Ortom said anyone found complimenting the destruction of the State no matter how highly placed will not be spared.
He added that “it is wrong for any individual, especially those in government, to compromise the security situation of the state.”
Governor Samuel Ortom emphasized the need for his administration to finish strong, urging the new chief of staff to hit the ground running and other appointees to redouble their efforts.
Samuel Nyiste, the new Chief of Staff, takes over from Terwase Orbunde, who resigned his appointment to pursue his political ambition.
