President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new members to the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). The move aims to fill existing vacancies and strengthen the board’s capacity.
The newly appointed members are Mr. Olusegun Omosehin from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Engr. Wole Ogunsanya representing the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi from the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF), and Barrister Owei Oyanbo from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
Their appointments follow the departure of previous institutional representatives from the council.
The NCDMB Governing Council, established under the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, 2010, includes representatives from key industry institutions such as the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and others.
President Tinubu urged the new members to use their expertise to promote local content development in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
