According to Mrs. Obiageli Orah, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, the closure is necessary due to asphalt rehabilitation work at the A2 Taxiway-link. The agency reassures air travelers and airport users that flight operations will not be disrupted, as all flights will be redirected to the alternative runway, 18L/36R.
