The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Anambra State has taken steps to reposition the party ahead of next year’s governorship election in the state.
As part of this strategic move, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has constituted a 21-man Caretaker Committee to oversee the affairs of the State Chapter.
PDP’s National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, in a statement Tuesday disclosed that, “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), pursuant to Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017), approved the composition of Anambra State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Anambra State Chapter of the Party for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months).”
According to the statement, members of the Caretaker Committee include; Engr. Chigozie Igwe (Chairman), Chukwudi Innocent Nweke, Ezinne Patricia Uju Onyia, Barr. Onuigbo Ndubuisi, Barr. Ikechukwu Chukwudelu, Chukwudi Okoye, Hon. Chief Ezeobi Okpala, Cmr. Okey Asolo, Barr. Jude Oguejiofor, Hon. Echezona Agba, and Promise Okongwu.
Others are: Dr. Obumneme Nnoli, Hon. Remignu Okeke, Ebere Onukwo, Williams Obiora, Ndu Ikokwu, Barr. Ugochukwu Adileje, Onyeka Okeke, Nze Nath Uforali, Dr. I.G. Ngini, Barr. Clem Ezika (Secretary).
The PDP NWC urged all its leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members in Anambra State to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the Party.
