Also among those who joined the growing list of aspirants is Hon. Hassan Mamman Barguwa, a former member of the House of Representatives, who is seeking a return to the National Assembly to represent the Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency in Adamawa State.
Other aspirants who obtained nomination forms include Hon. Dennis Chibuzor Oshai, contesting for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency seat in Delta State; Hon. According to the party, the turnout of aspirants at its National Secretariat in Abuja remained impressive as of the time of filing this report, with more contenders still arriving to secure nomination forms for various elective positions.
The Labour Party National Publicity Secretary, Ken Eluma Asogwa, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Wednesday, noting that the enthusiasm reflects the party’s rising political profile ahead of the next general elections.
The party’s nomination exercise is expected to continue as more aspirants declare interest in contesting under its platform across the country.
