The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Friday, bared its fangs and hit former governor of Enugu state, Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani, with suspension for anti-party activities.
The party also suspended Chief Chris Ogbu from Imo state and Ayeni Funsho from Ekiti State.
Announcing the decision, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba, said the party took the action “after a very extensive review and consideration of the affairs of our Party in the country”.
According to him, the suspension was “pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017)”. He said the suspension took effect immediately.
“In the same vein, the NWC has approved the suspension of the underlisted Party members in Ekiti State also with effect from today, Friday, January 20, 2023, over allegations of anti-party activities.
