President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a closed door meeting with Mudasiru Obasa, the just reinstated Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, alongside his deputy, Mojisola Meranda who stepped down for him, and other lawmakers from the state. The meeting, currently taking place at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja, could be seen as a critical intervention amid leadership tensions within the Lagos Assembly.
On Wednesday, the lawmakers arrived at the villa in a Coaster bus shortly after 2:00 pm, where security personnel ushered them into the President’s office complex. Meranda, arrived with her colleagues, while Obasa arrived separately at about 3:00 pm.
