In preparation for the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has has officially obtained the updated Register of Voters from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), along with the latest list of registered political parties in Nigeria.
In a press release signed by Hon. Pastor Tamunotonye P. Tobins, the Commissioner in charge of Media & Civic Education, RSIEC confirmed that these documents were released today via an official letter from INEC, numbered INEC/RV/S/VR/494/155 and dated March 13, 2025.
The commission reassured the people of Rivers State of its commitment to conducting a credible, free, and fair election, come Saturday, August 9, 2025.
