Outspoken political activistr, Reno Omokri, has delivered a scathing rebuke to Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following his complaint about being blocked from visiting Benue State by Governor Hyacinth Alia.
On X, Obi recently claimed he was prevented from entering Benue by the Governor. Countering him on the same X platform, Reno Omokri criticized Obi for turning what could have been a private matter into a public showdown.
“You are a Papal Knight… your brother is a Catholic priest. Rather than publicly quarrelling with Governor Alia, there are better and more private ways to resolve your dispute,” Reno Omokri said.

Taking the criticism further, Omokri accused Obi of having a pattern of personal and political fallouts, describing him as someone constantly surrounded by conflict.
“Crisis appears to follow you wherever you go, Peter. Maybe that is a sign to Nigeria that you are not a fit and proper person to preside over a nation as delicate as ours,” he stated.
He listed a string of past clashes Obi has had — from his exit from APGA, his brief stay in the PDP which he described as a “structure of criminality”, to ongoing internal wranglings in the Labour Party. Omokri also referenced Obi’s public disputes with figures like Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka and his former spokesman.
