The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four members of its National Executive for one month over allegations of anti-party activities and gross misconduct.
Those suspended are the National Secretary, Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu; National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); National Organizing Secretary, Umar M. Bature; and Deputy National Legal Adviser, Barr. Okechukwu Onuoha.
The decision was taken at the NWC’s 608th meeting held on Friday, November 1, 2025, in Abuja.
According to the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the suspension followed credible evidence that the officers engaged in activities that undermined the party’s constitution and sabotage of internal processes ahead of the forthcoming National Convention scheduled for November 15–16, 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The officers have been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation and recommendations.
The party said the move is part of efforts to protect its integrity, enforce discipline and ensure a hitch-free national convention.
