Port Harcourt, Rivers State – Governor Sim Fubara is set to commission ten completed projects across Rivers State, signaling the resumption of developmental activities and the initiation of new projects aimed at improving the welfare of residents. The announcement was made during a press briefing with members of the media, highlighting the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises to the people.
The government spokesperson emphasized that despite previous interruptions in governance, the administration remains focused on enhancing infrastructure, security, and economic growth. The spokesperson also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his timely intervention, which has facilitated the government’s return to full functionality.
Commissioning Schedule and Projects:
10th December: Extension and dualization of Auda-Ormoco Road in Auda East and Mandon areas.
11th December: Link Road in Moa LGA.
12th December: Rehabilitated Equa Airport internal roads and initiation of a new bypass to improve local access.
15th December: Greater Tap City Housing Estate on Obiqual Road to the airport in Inquiry LGA, coinciding with the anniversary of Taff Ree Taff.
16th December: Iwama Ring Road in Auda East LGA.
17th December: Oosi Road and Bridge in Auda East and West LGAs.
18th December: Obakri Junction Road from the roundabout to the waterfront in Moa LGA.
19th December: Auda Zonal Hospital in Auda LGA.
22nd December: Permanent Secretary Quarters in Ilimu, Obia LGA.
23rd December: Federal High Court Complex at Forces Avenue in Old Jacob City LGA.
