The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old suspect, Dare Shogaolu, popularly known as “Super M”, during a routine stop-and-search operation in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
According to a press statement issued on Thursday by the force Public Relations Officer of Abimbola Adebisi, the suspect was apprehended on March 5, 2026, at about 10:00 p.m. by operatives of the Anti-Crime Patrol Team attached to the Mushin Division.

The police said the team, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), was on routine patrol along the LUTH Road axis in Mushin when they noticed a suspicious-looking man carrying a white and orange-yellow polythene bag.
A search conducted on the bag led to the recovery of one locally made pistol. Other items reportedly recovered from the suspect include a black leather purse, charms, and three pairs of slippers.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect may have been involved in criminal activities within the Mushin community and is alleged to have been responsible for disturbances in the area.

Police authorities confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody while further investigations continue. Efforts are also ongoing to track down and arrest other suspected members of the criminal group linked to the suspect.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olohundare Jimoh, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property across the state.

He also urged residents to support law enforcement agencies by providing credible and timely information through the command’s emergency lines.
