Nigerian entrepreneur and social media influencer Linus Williams Ifejika, popularly known as B-Lord, has broken silence after he regained his freedom from custody, crediting activist and politician Omoyele Sowore for intervening in his case.
In a brief statement following his release, B-Lord expressed surprise at Sowore’s involvement, noting that they had never met or communicated prior to the arrest.
“I’ve never met him in my life. I’ve never called him. But when he heard I was being intimidated, he stepped in,” he said.
He revealed that his bail hearing was initially scheduled for the 27th of April, 2026, a date that would have kept him in custody longer than necessary. However, he said Sowore, whom he called Minister of Youths’intervened and ensured the hearing date was brought forward, leading to his release.
B-Lord, known for his work in cryptocurrency trading and digital entrepreneurship, he had planned to travel back to his hometown, Anambra State in the South-East where he is based but chose to delay his movement to personally appreciate Sowore.
“I had to come and say thank you. Even if I miss my flight, it doesn’t matter,” he added.
He also acknowledged that he was gifted a beret by Sowore himself, which he described as a symbolic gesture welcoming him into the “revolution team.
