The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reinstated the leadership of David Mark as National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on its official portal, just hours after a ruling by the Supreme Court.
The update also reflects the return of Rauf Aregbesola as the party’s National Secretary, alongside other members of the previously removed leadership.

INEC had earlier taken down the names of Mark, Aregbesola, and other officials from its records, a move that sparked days of political tension and uncertainty within the party and across Nigeria’s political space.
The latest development signals a temporary resolution in the leadership dispute, pending further proceedings at the High Court as directed by the Supreme Court.
