The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Engr. Nadungu Gagare, FNIAE, FNSE, has called for stronger collaboration among agencies under the Ministry to enhance policy alignment, improve efficiency, and accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation drive.
Gagare made the call during his maiden tour of agencies supervised by the Ministry, where he stressed the importance of synergy, innovation, and accountability in achieving the objectives of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the digital economy remains central to Nigeria’s national growth and global competitiveness, making inter-agency cooperation critical to delivering impactful results and avoiding duplication of efforts.
“We must continue to work with greater synergy, innovation, professionalism, and accountability in delivering on our mandates,” the Permanent Secretary stated.
He further urged staff of the various agencies to remain disciplined, committed, and innovative in advancing technology-driven development and improving public service delivery across the country.
At NIGCOMSAT Ltd, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, who was represented by the General Manager, Information Technology, Engr. Baba Alkali, expressed appreciation to the Permanent Secretary for the visit and continued support to the organisation.
Engr. Alkali described the visit as a strong source of encouragement to the management and staff of NIGCOMSAT Ltd, noting that the engagement would further motivate the agency in the discharge of its responsibilities.
