The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its Media and Publicity Subcommittee for the party’s 2026 National Convention in Abuja.
At the inauguration on Monday, APC Co-Chairman and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, urged members to perform their duties professionally, stressing the importance of accurate information and effective communication.
Idris highlighted that the APC government under President Bola Tinubu is implementing bold reforms aimed at sustainable national growth. He said the convention is an opportunity to showcase the party’s unity, discipline, and commitment to national progress.

“The role of this committee goes beyond publicity,” Idris said. “It involves ensuring transparency, coordinating media engagement, and projecting the process and outcomes of the convention to Nigerians and the international community.”
The subcommittee’s responsibilities include content creation, media relations, media planning, coordination with other subcommittees, reporting, media monitoring, and administration of all convention media activities.
Members were encouraged to approach the assignment with professionalism, creativity, and a strong sense of duty.
