In what appeared to be a fresh challenge to President Bola Tinubu, former Vice Presidnet Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has received in audience, his former classmate at the School of Hygiene Kano.
The reception, Sunday with Sir Ignatius Ameh, comes as a very strong evidence to prove Atiku’s academic history.
Meanwhile, Netizens have latched on the visit to resurrect thale challenge on President Tinubu to also host any of his classmate from the primary and secondary schools he claimed to have attended.
Atiku, who played host to Mr. Ameh, noted that they both had a lot of catching up and fond memories of their time in school.
“It was an honour hosting Sir Ignatius Ameh, my friend and classmate from the School of Hygiene, Kano. There was a lot of catching up and fond memories of our time in school,” Atiku said in an update on his verified X account.
The post instantly triggered a conversation frenzy over the educational backgrounds of prominent political figures, with some online users suggesting that Atiku’s educational background is verifiable whereas President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s is not.
Recall that in the period leading up to the 2023 general elections, there were allegations of discrepancies in Tinubu’s academic records. It first started with allegations that he did not attend Chicago State University (CSU) as he claimed.
However, Tinubu’s credentials show that he graduated from CSU in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting and management.
The dust on the matter doesn’t seem to have settled as some social media users on the X platform took to their accounts to throw jibes at the president.
One X user, Prince charles@Blacksodje wrote: “I know someone whose classmates in both primary and secondary schools are all a mystery.”
Another user, UGo@Oforma19, tweeted: “Tinubu can not recreate this never.”
Dr. Kenon@drkenon2 wrote: “Well, Atiku you actually went to school. That has been established unlike the BAT 🦇 man🤣😂”
Similarly, Dr. Saint Dikachi@Drsaintdikachi, also tweeted: “Some people no get classmate but claimed they went to school sha.”
