Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacheaus Adangor, has resigned.
Prof. Adangor’s resignation letter was dated November 14, 2023, and addressed to the Rivers State Governor, Fubara, through the Secretary to State Government.
He noted that his exit from office was based on personal principles and not connected to the political crisis currently rocking the state.
He expressed his gratitude to the governor for providing him with the opportunity to serve in his administration as a State Executive Council member.
Adangor’s resignation letter partly reads: “I hereby give Your Excellency Notice of my resignation as the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Rivers State with effect from the date of this letter.
“For the avoidance of doubt, my resignation from the said office is based purely on personal principles.
“I wish to thank Your Excellency for the opportunity and privilege granted me to serve in your administration as a member of the Cabinet. My family and I are indebted to Your Excellency in gratitude.
“I wish Your Excellency a successful tenure. Please accept the assurances of my highest regards always.”
