A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholder, Oladimeji Fabyi had taken a swipe at the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose over his claim that Ekiti State would not support a probable candidature of Atiku or any Northerner in 2027 general election.
Fayose, a PDP stalwart himself made the claim during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV, insisting that he would rather pitch his support for the All Progressives Congress incumbent President Bola A. Tinubu.
Responding, Fabiyi said that inasmuch it was admissible for Fayose to express his political leanings, “Ayo Fayose remains a political liability and jester that lacks the political stamina, influence and network to stop Atiku in 2027.”
He noted further that, while “Fayose worked against Atiku Abubakar in 2023, his anti-party activities made no significant impact even with his gang of G5.”
He said further: “Fayose’s shameful and despicable records of how he sold PDP to the opposition in Ekiti for a pot of porridge and how he worked against the party’s Presidential candidate in 2023 is still fresh in the minds of Nigerians.
“He should stop over-rating himself; we know how broke Ayo Fayose has become, hence , running errands for Wike.
“The ignoble roles that Ayo Fayose played in the massacre of PDP fortunes because of the crumbs from Wike’s table is a testimony to his politics of lack of integrity and decency .
“I wish to tell Fayose that he stands alone and naked , as majority of Southerners are eagerly waiting for Atiku as they have rejected the failed APC government of Tinubu.
“Atiku is way ahead of Ayo Fayose and his gang of betrayers in the PDP.

“Fayose’s hypocrisy stinks to high heavens , and from
all indications he has not departed from his usual any-government-in-power attitude.
“It is distressing and unfortunate that the leadership of the party under Ambassador Umar Damagun keeps watching while characters like Fayose relish in denigrating and embarrassing the PDP.
“Fayose, just like Seyi Makinde is a master of treachery and betrayal.
“Even if Seyi contests it’s dead on arrival . His candidature is a grand plan by him and Wike to weaken opposition for Tinubu and APC . He will fail,” Fabiyi said
