The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended its Nasarawa State Chairman, Godwin Williams, over alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
Williams was suspended for 14 days, pending the outcome of an investigation by a Disciplinary Committee constituted by the party’s TLT.
According to party sources, the suspension followed a series of allegations leveled against the state chairman, including his refusal to recognise the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party led by Senator David Mark.
He is also accused of blocking the integration of coalition members into the ADC structure in Nasarawa State, contrary to directives from the party’s national leadership.
Further allegations claim that Williams reported some party leaders to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Police, describing them as impostors.

The party also accused him of constituting parallel party organs at various levels within the state, as well as interfering with the establishment of party offices at the state, local government, and ward levels.
Additionally, Williams was alleged to have disrupted the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise, which was ordered by the National Working Committee.
The ADC said the suspension was necessary to allow for an unhindered investigation and to preserve party unity and discipline in the state.
