The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has announced the start of the accreditation exercise for the appointment of five new Federal Permanent Secretaries.
The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement signed by the Director of Press at the OHCSF, Eno Olotu.
According to the statement, the exercise follows the approval of President Bola Tinubu and is aimed at filling existing and anticipated vacancies in the Federal Civil Service.
The affected states are Adamawa, Bayelsa, Enugu, Kano, and Ogun, in line with the Federal Character principle.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, described the accreditation as a crucial first step in a national assignment that will shape the quality, integrity, and capacity of leadership in the Federal Civil Service.
She charged members of the Accreditation Committee to carry out their duties with diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to established rules and procedures.
Mrs Walson-Jack emphasised that fairness, merit, and accountability must guide the entire process.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Accreditation Committee and Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Olumuyiwa Abel Enitan, echoed the directive of the Head of Service.
He warned that any mistake or lapse at the accreditation stage could damage the credibility of the entire selection process.
