The Atiku-Okowa Presidential Council has expanded its public communications department with the addition of Dr Law Mefor, a media and management consultant and forensic psychologist.
Mefor will be part of the image makers of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in Anambra state.
The appointment was announced in a statement by Uloka Chukwubuikem, Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization and Management Committee in Anambra state.
Dr Mefor is also the managing director and CEO of Psycom Publishing Limited, with over twenty years of professional experience in communications, journalism practice, and psychology. He also possesses over 20 years experience in public administration.
“Dr Mefor, a professionally qualified and experienced psychologist and public administrator with three Masters Degrees in Public Administration, Social Psychology, and Forensic Psychology, a professional doctorate in Public Administration and Social Psychology.
“As a professional media practitioner, he also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism.
“Until becoming the Managing Director and CEO of Psycom Publishing Limited, he was a Special Assistant (Research and Strategy) to the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2005–2007), Senior Legislative Aide to a Senator representing Kano Central (2011–2015), and Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President (Communication from 2015–2019).
“The appointment of Dr Law Mefor takes immediate effect as he joins the State Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign’s Media and Strategic Communication Directorate.
“He is expected to, among other things, educate the electorate, the public, and the media about our presidential candidate and the Atiku-Okowa campaign activities in Anambra State.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr Mefor to the team and look forward to utilizing his depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise to ensure victory for our party’s presidential ticket in 2023,” the statement reads.
