A United States–based lawyer and human rights advocate, Mike Arnold, has publicly taken aim at Nigerian author and former presidential aide Reno Omokri, describing him as a “pathological, habitual, calculating, self-serving liar.”
In an explosive post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on October 15, 2025, Arnold claimed to have witnessed Omokri’s alleged deceit up close during their personal and professional interactions in the United States, Kenya, and Nigeria.
Arnold’s post, which has since gone viral, accused Omokri of fabricating stories, exaggerating political connections, and manipulating facts to build influence and online clout.
“The truth about Reno Omokri is sad. Reno doesn’t lie like most liars. He lies calm, cool, constant. Up close, he’s reptilian. Chilling. Soulless. Yet so charming,” Arnold wrote.
He alleged that Omokri once flaunted luxury cars that weren’t his, claiming ownership in a video filmed at a friend’s house, and that he frequently made promises of high-level meetings with top Nigerian officials that never materialized.

“He promised meetings with President Tinubu, NSA Ribadu, and the Sultan of Sokoto. None happened,” Arnold said. “Those promises were props for his narrative—for clout and manipulation.”
Arnold also accused Omokri of spreading falsehoods about his (Arnold’s) own background.
“On live TV, he called me the current mayor of Blanco, Texas. False. He knows it,” he wrote. “He also said I’m a Republican mayor—we don’t even have partisan municipal elections.”
According to Arnold, his post was not born out of resentment but from “accountability.” He accused Omokri of twisting facts to downplay Christian persecution in Nigeria, calling it the most dangerous form of deceit.

“Lying to inflate yourself is one thing. Lying to cover up the Christian genocide raging in Nigeria is a bridge too far,” he said. “Reno Omokri has the blood of innocents on his lying tongue.”
Arnold quoted Psalm 101:7 to underscore his criticism: “The one who practices deceit shall not dwell in My house; he who speaks lies shall not continue before My eyes.”
The U.S. lawyer went further to mock Omokri’s alleged political ambitions, claiming he plans to run for Vice President under National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
“Peter Obi’s used toilet paper would poll better,” he wrote in one of his most biting lines.
