The Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, CFR, has confirmed the resignation of the Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, FCA, Mni.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Administrator on Tuesday, His Excellency expressed gratitude for Dr. Nwaeke’s contributions to the administration, despite his brief tenure, and wished him success in his future endeavors.
To ensure a smooth transition, Dr. Mrs. Iyingi Brown, Permanent Secretary of Welfare in the Office of the Head of Service, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service pending the appointment of a substantive replacement.
While congratulating Dr. Brown on her new role, Vice Admiral Ibas reassured the people of Rivers State of his administration’s unwavering commitment to neutrality, peace, and stability.
